[Design & Staging] Stylish Hotel Decor

Thanks to the jet-set generation, when Starwood's W Hotel decided to open a location in Kowloon, they envisioned the chicest, most stylish design combined with the indulgences fit for an emperor.  Fabio Ongarato Design (FOD) was hired for environmental design and signage in collaboration with the Australian interior design firm, Nicholas Graham & Associates (g+a) and Tokyo-based design firm, Glamorous co., Ltd. for the interiors.

The power of three proved to be better than one.  From the dazzling KITCHEN and the cozy WOOBAR to the serenity at Asia's first Bliss Spa and working out among clouds at SWEAT.  The stylish decor and luxurious amenities are right down to every detail, FOD developed a comprehensive visual based on reinterpreted fantasy and enchantment to bring a bold design dimension.  Among the most amazing are the mega-scale butterfly graphic mosaic WET pool and outdoor Jacuzzi.  Both are perched 700 feet above sea level on the rooftop, overlooking the whole island.  All 393 guestrooms have stunning Hong Kong skyline views thanks to its prominent location on a small peninsula adjacent to the epicenter of high end Kowloon (Elements Mall) shopping and entertainment.

I had the good fortune of staying at this W  for a family vacation/wedding a few years back, and I can see why it has received such rave reviews.  According to TripAdvisor, it got 4.5 out of 5 stars based on 1210 reviews.  Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, it's worth checking out.  Not only the decor is beyond breath-taking, the service was exceptional.  Bonus point, it is extremely convenient to  great shopping (literally next door) and the airport.  Kowloon Airport Express Station is inside the mall, from there, it's an easy 20 minutes ride to Hong Kong International Airport.  Bon Voyage!
