With an aggressive expansion, French label - The Kooples hit U.S. territory like a hurricane. Just this summer, it debuted in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York.  Second and third stores are slated to open this fall, respectively in LA and NY.

Launched in 2008 by the Elicha brothers - Alexandre, Laurent, and Raphael; the same brothers behind another cute successful line, called Comptoir des Cotonniers.  If you are fashion conscious, and live in one of the aforementioned cities, you probably recognize their signature black & white couples ad campaigns, where they feature real life cool couples.   The Kooples is a brand of clothing for men and women, where pieces are sometimes interchangeable between the sexes.  “Our wives take our jackets, and we take their scarves,” Alexandre Elicha said in a NY Times interview.

The brothers have recently partnered with Norton & Sons, top tailors from London's Savile Row, to create an impeccably crafted neo-dandy look, evoking a London rocker with a Parisian sense of je ne sais quoi.  While The Kooples is known to be rocker chic, I often find sophisticated, wearable pieces in every collection. The suits are especially great for contemporary professionals.  With a cool brand like this, I can safely speak on behalf of many U.S. fashion lovers, do invade us!  Seriously Kooples, when are you heading to Seattle?
